Setting up a wallet
Connect in one tap and keep your keys safe.
A crypto wallet is how you hold your tokens and sign in to HOLYHOOD. It is not a bank account and it is not us — it is an app you control. This guide covers what a wallet really is, how to connect one, and the single most important habit for keeping it safe.
What a wallet actually stores
A wallet does not "contain" your tokens the way a physical wallet holds cash. Your tokens live on the blockchain; the wallet stores the private key that proves they are yours and lets you authorize transfers.
The public part of that key is your address — the 0x… string you share to receive tokens. The private part must stay secret: anyone who has it controls the funds.
Connecting to HOLYHOOD
Popular choices are MetaMask (a browser extension and mobile app) and any WalletConnect-compatible wallet. Once installed:
- Click "Connect wallet" in the top bar and pick your wallet.
- Approve the connection request — this only shares your public address, never your keys.
- Make sure the wallet is on the correct network before you trade (HOLYHOOD runs on Robinhood Chain).
Protect your seed phrase
When you create a wallet you get a 12–24 word recovery (seed) phrase. It is the master backup for everything in the wallet. Write it down offline and store it somewhere safe.
No legitimate service — including HOLYHOOD — will ever ask for your seed phrase. Anyone who does is trying to steal from you. Never type it into a website or share it in a chat.
- Your wallet holds the key that controls your tokens — you are in charge, not a company.
- Connecting only shares your public address; keys never leave the wallet.
- Your seed phrase is the master password. Keep it offline and never share it.

Fun tokens are experimental and highly speculative. Prices can move fast in both directions and you could lose everything you put in. Nothing here is investment advice.
